In November of 1981 Pastor Ernest Pihl began surveying and calling on homes in order to establish a new LCA congregation at the present site. In February of 1982, regular Sunday services began at Hillcrest Elementary School. Formal organization took place on March 6, 1983 with 137 baptized members. The year of 1985 was spent making arrangements and preparations for building. Construction began in February, 1986 with the anticipation of beginning the Fall Program in the new facility....
